He is a public servant who commented about shooting an elected official. He isn't a bank teller and he didn't just say she is an idiot.

It's not the comment itself. It's the questionable behavior of not thinking two steps ahead and saying to your self, you know what self, I find this amusing and my friends might find this amusing, but wait. It's kind of incendiary. And we live in a gotcha culture that may not appreciate this post. So maybe, just maybe, I'll keep it to myself and avoid any future trouble.

It's called deductive reasoning and common sense. And if a cop doesn't have it, that's a problem.

I'd say vaginas get men in more trouble than Facebook does idiots. But it's close.

Glad to see you're in favor of a cop wanting to kill an American citizen and elected official. Maybe you "need a round."

I don’t care if she is elected. One day this country will need another revolution. What if the men who wrote our constitution were as big a pus as you? Do you have any idea what kind of nuts it took to make a stand against the “ elected “? Why don’t you STFU until you find yours.

Um.. What? He's not a grocery store cashier. He's a police officer. He carries a weapon on him and has the power to frick with people's lives.

This isn't Teri the receptionist arguing with someone on Nola.com. Its a public servant who carries a gun stating openly that another human being needs to be shot.

I agree. I think any reasonable person can infer he wasn't being serious, but good God dude. I don't advocate people losing their job but if it happens he has only himself to blame.

For complaining about "fake news" all the time, republicans on Facebook sure do love to spread around false and outright made-up quotes and attribute them to Democrats. The boomers on Facebook are also all about falling for some poorly photoshopped pics and doctored videos

Dude is a dumbass.

First, especially if you are a police... Say away from the political post on FB.

Second, why is he even worried about a representative who doesn't even represent his district?

If you are a police officer, you should have some kind of awareness of things you shouldn't post that the public.. Or a lot of people will see.

Weird, someone just posted yesterday on the Political Board that these stories are all made up and fake.

More batshit crazy calls for Revolution! The South will Rise Again! Yeehaw!

How's that AR 15 of yours going to hold up against a tank, tough guy?

Keep defending this idiot cop who made a retarded comment on a public website, based on an article that wasn't even true.

Not shockingly, the media is playing this up a bit. What the officer posted was a cheeky reference to her past as a bartender. It is t as if he said, “someone should get a gun and shoot that congresswoman.”

He said "this vile idiot needs a round....... and I don't mean the kind she used to serve"

He is saying that she needs a round and that he isn't talking about the type she use to serve as a waitress... Which would be rounds of alcohol. So he is saying she doesn't need a round of alcohol, she needs another type of round.

He called her a vile idiot. So if you call someone a vile idiot before saying they need rounds and making it clear that you don't mean rounds of alcohol, what else could he be referring to?

Do I agree with most of her politics? Not at all. I am not a big fan of socialism, but being this is the United States of America, she is allowed to have any political views she wants. And if she is an elected official, I respect the voting process and at least respect the fact she was elected.

I am not a big fan of Trump, but I do respect the voting process and at least respect the fact he was elected.

I'd never be so mad about politics that I would post about how they need to have several rounds put in them (and not the type of rounds you get at a bar).

But if you are a cop... And you put something like that up there and something happens.. Like you end up in a situation where you have to shoot someone.. If I am the lawyer for the party that got shot.. The first thing I am doing is grabbing that post and making it work in my client's favor.

"Look, this officer has talked about putting rounds into a U.S. Representative. If he doesn't have any respect for an elected official who was elected to serve our country, how much value do you think he puts in everyday people's lives?".

I am not saying he has no value for other's life, I am just giving an example of how posting something like that can come back on you. So someone who makes stupid decisions like that.. Do you want them on the street protecting and serving?

Go take a civics class. Or stop listening to whatever political talk show you listen to everyday.

The officer is just a dumb arse for posting before thinking it through. Give him a couple of days on the beach without pay to think it over and move on. No need to clutch pearls over this.

He said she needs a round, not the kind she used to serve

It's clear that he meant a bullet round....thats not cool. He should be suspended at the very least
