The American taxpayers. We’ve kept many companies afloat with our generosity.

That’s just, like, your opinion...man.

Herb Kelleher

Along the same lines of disrupting an industry:
John Legere
T-Mobile
He is responsible for the shift away from 2 year overpriced contracts to affordable prepaid and monthly unlimited plans that are the industry standard now.
Not sure I would say is the greatest CEO, but he has been one that has impacted nearly every American.

Roger Goodell. You know it's true.

Judging from that other thread, Northrup Grumman's CEO. His company overran a NASA project by billions and when asked if his company would absorb any of the cost for its frickups straight looked Congress in the eye and said, 'Nah, if we pay for that, it might harm our relationship with NASA.'
And he got away with it.
And he got away with it.

My friend Jeff Bezos. Net worth is around during $150 billion. But his revolutionary tactics have take what would be a now defunct bookseller in the driving retail force of the 21st century.
Amazon.com has cash reserves approaching $100 billion. Even as Heir of the Ammer family- which has plenipotentiary interest in a certain worldwide petroleum based conglomerate- I find that impressive.

Northrop Grumman’s CEO, Wes Bush
Have your company frick up a project in excess of 800 million but not be accountable for a penny.
Northrop Grumman has to love this guy!

Gates and Jobs by far. Not even close. They are in the Henry Ford category.

I’ve already claimed John Legere
