Yeah, I hear the latest knife protection is a good thick fur coat.

Mountain lions get heavier than cheetahs in the northern and southern most points of their range, 200lbs vs 140lbs. Mountain lions are also much stronger in the forelimbs.
Gray wolf > cheetah
Mountain lion > Gray wolf
Gray wolf > cheetah
Mountain lion > Gray wolf

Wolf tactic: harry for long periods of time, harry, feint, harry, feint
Cheetah tactic: not realize it's being attacked, start walking away, then sprint...rinse repeat...
A wolf would chase a cheetah for miles until it would be tired, then it walk up and bite its neck...
Leopards decorate their trees with cheetah corpses...morbid frickers

Cheetahs are pussies (sorry) of the cat kingdom. A wolf is a bad motherfricker. Yes, they kill in packs but they are more than capable alone. They have far superior strength and endurance.

What would win in a fight: a grizzly bear or a wolf?
I'm thinking wolf because it has bulletproof fur

The Cheetah would have only one option and that's to go for the wolf's throat. Problem with that though is it would not be able to get to the wolf's throat due to the very thick layer of fur covering the wolf's throat. Same thing for the Cheetah's claws, they'd be negated by the wolf's thick fur coat. The cheetah would not be able to seriously hurt the wolf.
The wolf on the other hand would not have any problem delivering devestating bites and wounds. The cheetah is not a very powerful animal. It's made to be a lightweight short distance sprinter. In a stand up fight, the wolf would overpower and kill a cheetah. And the cheetah would not even be able to run away from the wolf. This is because no matter how big of an initial lead it would get, the cheetah, exhausted and defenseless, would be forced to stop running long before the wolf got tired.
In short, one on one, a gray wolf would rip a cheetah to shreds.

You're totally overestimating the cheetah's claws and underestimating the thickness of a wolf's fur.

What if you have 10 men with spears vs a lion? The lion is for sure fricking dead
Where are you going to find 10 men, each with a spear, attempt to kill a 500lb killing machine, knowing some of them are going to die in the process?
Will the 10 men kill it, sure, but i'll bet any amount of money the lion takes a few of them out, and being the smart humans we are, we aren't willing to risk the lives of a few just to kill another predator.

What about one man with a spear vs a lion? Unless he's extremely well trained, the lion makes a quick meal out of him.
no man with a spear would kill a lion.
If the fight between the wolf and cheetah was outside in the wild, then the fight would never happen b/c the wolf would never catch the cheetah. The cheetah wouldn't even have to run fast to get away.
If for some reason they were forced to fight and the cheetah couldn't get away, the wolf would maul it. the thick fur of the wolf would protect it from the claws of the cheetah, and cheetahs are skin and bones. They have no experience in fighting b/c they always run. They don't hunt anything bigger than a 50lb gazelle, which has nothing to fight back with. They give up almost immediately to any predator around, granted they are all much bigger than them, but cheetahs weren't built to fight.

Actually that's not true. The cheetah can run very fast for short distances. But it's weakness is running like that exhausts the cheetah very quickly. And by exhasution I mean it leaves it inable to do much more than lay down and sleep.
The wolf on the other hand is also made to run fast, although not as fast as the cheetah of course. But more than speed, the wolf has endurance. In a chase the cheetah would quickly run out of gas while the wolf still had hours and miles of running left in him. A wolf can run for extrodinary distances. Once the cheetah had to stop from exhaustion the wolf would quickly catch him and kill him while the cheetah lay there helpless to stop him.
