Gravy still trying to wash the taste of Silky Slim's fist out his mouth.

He is probably mad because there is no money for him to try to get his hands on.

A felon carrying a concealed gun was shot and killed when he refused to be searched by the police and tried to pull the gun on the two officers while they were trying to cuff him. The police officers were dispatched to the location following a 911 call about an armed man pointing a gun at people.
So why are the dead felon's children due any money from the city??

The metro council held a virtual meeting and only 1 white council member would vote to approve the settlement in the death of Alton Sterling.
How many black council members voted against it?

I listened to a lot of the council meeting.
It was a shite show. At some point they couldn't even determine if they were following the right proceedings for a settlement (which they aren't.. it's a judgement against the city), the only numbers for costs that were available were how much the city has spent on outside legal counsel, and everyone seemed confused about what happened and about what to do. Yet despite all that the majority of the council decided to vote anyway. It was astounding to hear.
I'm not against giving the Sterling family money (though $5m is probably too much) buy holy shite the council does not have its act together.

Why do they deserve taxpayer money?

I should rephrase it - I'm not closed to the idea if they could present a cogent argument.
They didn't even come close to seemingly try to

This one incident had cost us millions in police overtime
Police already work overtime because of perpetually offending POS like Alton that drag the city down to a third world standard. The only thing this incident really cost BR was the lives of good police officers, who were murdered by a BLM activist who was summoned by Race Baiters like Gravy.

It would be a helluva stimulus to the local economy.

Get this shite out of here. What are you going to realize facts don't matter anymore?

That's par for the fricking course for the EBR Metro Council. When the Council on Aging was trying to grift more money from the people of this parish, the Metro council voted on levying the tax, it failed, then when they realized what they'd done, THEY VOTED AGAIN on the same issue (which is improper and probably illegal), that bitch Barbara Freiberg switched her vote, and our pockets got lighter.
