Gravy got one point more than a Republican in a district that was Gerrymandered to elect a democrat.

That dude that needed 2 sets of cuffs and an suv because he so fat he couldn't fit in the squad car

I’d rather the seats be drawn so that the GOP had a legit shot at all of them instead of having a set-aside that will never vote GOP
Put blacks in one district; that would guarantee Dems a seat but make it very difficult for them to compete in the others
the Cong Black Caucus loved it as it meant more members for their group. They didn't care if it hurt Dems elsewhere
For awhile it seemed as if this policy might put White Southern Dems on the endangered species list, but transplants have been bringing the WSD back to life.

The numbers in the OP were just the preliminary parishes.
Ultimately Chambers got 21% with the closest republican getting 10%.
The winner got 36% and the runner-up got 23%.

The answer to gerrymandering is to gerrymander a District so it includes two cities that are nothing alike and are 70 miles apart.
Do the two sections of D1 (brown) even touch each other?
Are there any other CDs in the country with completely separate sections?
Why does D5 (Monroe) go down to Kentwood?
WTF does D4 (Shreveport) go all the way down to Cajun country? Eunice and Ville Platte are in the same CD as Springhill, but not Lafayette.

If you think things are bad now...

The sad fricking part is he pulled 9%
Wtf

I remember that... Gridiron did a routine back in the 90s with Cleo Fields as Zorro making fun of that district.

Maybe now he can be a contender for picking up the check when he has a meal.

If I was Shreveport or Monroe, I’d be pissed that Lafayette, BR, and NOLA each have “two” or “three” congresspersons. It’s a way to maximize clout

Let me guess, he blames racism or dominion

I take tremendous satisfaction knowing that fat, dumb race baiting piece of shite lost handily. frick him.
I remember when local news outlets quoted one of my OT comments on him in a news story. So I know those media frickers read these threads and I hope they quote me again. It's time for everyone, of all races, to wake up to people who attempt to make a living off of sowing division and kick their asses to the curb. Gravy is the worst of the worst and needs to go.

A guy who has never held a real job, is a POS race baiter, blackmailed a bank out of $20k, gets in fights and gets his arse whipped on camera and made a stupid arse bounce song by a trans dude as an election commercial and somehow gets 21% of the vote.
Ultimately Chambers got 21%
Idiocracy is among us, ladies and gents.

At 21%, looks like Gary Chambers gets to play kingmaker.
Posted on 3/21/21 at 4:27 am to CajunTiger92
People who voted for Gary will mostly vote for KCP. At least in NOLA.
They voted for Gary because he claimed to be a progressive. They aren't going to listen to who Gary endorses, they will just vote for the most progressive candidate.

That makes sense, I’m sure though he’ll play it for all it’s worth. He barely missed the runoff, just a couple less also rans and he might have made it.
Posted on 3/21/21 at 5:19 am to CajunTiger92
I could see him maybe playing an endorsement into a job of some sort, although he probably has enough campaign funds to live off of for a few years.
