Yeah, I don't know about you, but I go into convenience store for "convenience", not looking to be offended. The clerk is taking my money and giving me my change. I barely give it a second thought.

Respect is the minimum
It's absolutely insane that a large segment of society care about "muh respect" from complete strangers. I really don't give a damn if a random stranger "disrespects" me as long as nothing physical or physically threatening is happening.

You could either not give a damn and leave the convenience store and get on with your day or wait 20 minutes to argue with the owner. If you choose the latter you need to find some hobbies or learn something new

Too many vegetables in that pic for Gravy.

IDK, maybe THAT'S the issue he's confronting.

As long as he stays out of St George, he can respect or disrespect anybody he wants to. Just keep it in North BR and knock yourself out.

And obligatory:

I was avoiding posting a picture that’s content might be considered “problematic”:

What a dumb arse, what does paying taxes and retail options have to do with each other....

Tell your community to stop stealing and maybe you'll have better retail options.

My understanding of many of the convenience store businesses owned by those of middle eastern or Indian descent is that they are staffed by family. If that is the case I wouldn’t be surprised if the owner also tells gravy to go f himself. Who knows if gravy even spoke to an owner.

Why do a lot of black people think disrespect is a green light to violence and even murder?

"Retail options are still limited"? Several yrs ago, after years of clamoring for a box-type grocery store in North B.R. by the black community, one finally opened. Stayed open for 3 years & then closed. Claiming that theft was out of control & employees were hard to hire/keep because of the fear of working late in that area of town.
