Is there a police presence in The Quarter anymore?? Honest question.
Back when I was going to NOLA they were everywhere. City cops along with local dudes nearby cities and Parrish sheriffs working as second jobs on weekends and especially used on holidays.
Seems they’ve taken the Minority Report blueprint of policing. Wait for crimes to happen then review the tape? Not really any prevention.
I remember literally being able to stumble into cops if you weren’t careful. They were all over. And god forbid you tried to take a leak in a corner or an alley when the bars got packed. It was as stressful as trying to hide a body and not get caught.

Florida has done this with their oldest city.
When we lived and owned property in the Quarter, some neighbors were using a paint that was easier to clean off. We found that if you could clean it off with a solvent the morning after, you could get most of it off and just leave a smear in the very small pockets of the stucco.
Hasn't anybody found who is buying that amount of spray paint?

Meh. That part of the quarter, aka “lower Decatur” has been in shambles for decades. All the drug addicts hang out there with their pathetic dogs because they know the police won’t do anything to them if they have to call the SPCA.

If i lived in the city i would set up a sprinkler system hooked to constantly re circulating hot water that i could remotely activate.

Empty old bank building. Nola is full of those. Sadly they don't have much modern use and the owners don't keep them up.
