Walking down the sidewalk in Tokyo one time I casually flipped a cigarette butt on the sidewalk. As soon as it hit the sidewalk someone was in my face pointing at it and scolding me. I picked it up immediately and found a trash can. I then noticed there was no trash, cigarette butts, or litter of any kind any where.

Those people are very neat and it shows.

Their Taxi drivers are kamikazes!

Nothing makes me dislike a place quicker than seeing ugly-arse graffiti plastered everywhere.

You can paint or pressure wash graffiti. Find something else to get your titties twisted about

I once had a building I owned "tagged". It included profanity and a shitty ~4ft by ~4ft sponge bob. It was on two sides of the building. I had to pressure wash it and paint it. That cost me money.

In short, frick you. They're my titties and I'll twist em if I want.

There isn't a building untouched by graffiti in Athens, Greece

Same thing with Paris except a few of the major tourist attractions

seems like I remember a young American boy did a little spray painting in the Philippines and was caned in a pubic square. As a young man I traveled that part of the world a few years. They just don’t put up with that sort of things.

Its the Broken Windows theory, but with paint. Once graffiti appears - and nothing is immediately done about it - then more graffiti will appear and spread.

If you have time, this article written in the 80s pretty much sums up what we've been seeing the past few years with crime.

The Atlantic - Broken Windows

This is how Giuliani cleaned up NYC (only for idiot dems to frick it up 2 decades later). Started with the graffiti in the subway stations, which led to more serious crimes.

That was Singapore. That city-state is run by ethnic Chinese, and they do indeed make the trains run on time. Manila is an overcrowded third world shithole. When people talk about clean Asian cities, they’re really only talking about East Asians. Japan, the Koreas, and Hong Kong/Singapore/Taiwan. China proper may not be trashy or graffiti ridden, but their big cities are depressing, polluted , Soviet-like disease factories.

it's art

within context reason and reservation perhaps, you’re not going to see it all
Over the front of the NYSE building on Wall Street for example. if it’s just on an otherwise blighted situation and it has to be some damn fine street art like banksy’s stuff but I get the feeling this is just a bunch of trash spray painted on walls with no craftsmanship or very little effort
