anyone really surprised Texas is doing the stupidest thing possible?

Yeah. We should be more like Cali. Thanks to all their restrictions COVID19 is nonexistent there.

Of course Corky. I live in the most Republican district in America. Trump voting morons gave up on mask long ago here. I don't want disease from those gross honkeys.

like in Florida which is basically no worse than CALI

Florida has a per capita death rate like 8% higher.
California is catching up quickly.

When account for Florida age demographics Florida likely already better than California.

Read the first few pages and didn’t see anything mentioned, but does this mean Minute Maid will be full capacity? Or I guess I should say the Astros get to decide and not the city of Houston?

Of course he's fat. Almost all Masked Covidians are morbidly obese.

I find it highly unlikely that any of the people you described would associate with you long enough for you to catch something from them.

haven’t been to a Houston bar or restaurant (in the loop) yet that didn’t care about the mask mandate. I’d imagine they’ll virtue signs for a bit longer.

Hasn’t been my experience. Sure they have a sign to wear one as you enter or leave, but that’s it. Just last week the hostess made a point to tell us “you don’t need to have your mask on anymore if you don’t want” after she seated us.

And several chain stores (AT&T and HeB) didn’t say anything as I forgot to put one on when I walked in. Didn’t even realize it until I was back in my car.

I think a lot of these businesses were cocky in the beginning because they had so many people on their side on social media. But a large % of people that were all hyper-sensitive about covid early on have gotten over it. They're not necessarily sick of it like some of us are, but they're quietly frequenting places that are some of the most popular/packed places in the city... and they're avoiding those that are a pain to deal with because they're so strict.

Work from home isn’t going anywhere. It’s only going to continue to gain more traction.

Depending on the industry, you’re correct.

Pretty much. Around November I noticed a massive uptick of people in bars and restaurants around here.

True. But I definitely see more industries aligning with work from home.
