Did you just wake up and start reacting to things. This has been clearly laid out in almost every press conference by the StG organizers. Chief of police is required by law as a liaison for the sheriff and the city.

No I didn't just wake up to this. I'm just not naive enough to believe a politician when he's selling something because it sounds great in press conference. I certainly don't believe that the state's 5th largest city will only have one police officer in 10 years.

I have yet to come across an organization that had enough money or a government organization that runs efficiently.

I predict that over the next 10 years taxes go up for both BR and St. George, St. Michael's will still be the best high school in the city, Woodlawn will still be a shitty public school, and the surrounding communities and parishes will continue to grow.

No nonsense, straight shooter. He's not a politician and I'd be very surprised if he ran for the office beyond the original appointment.

Landry picked best person presented to get city off the ground and moving in right direction.

What are the towns/cities in Louisiana with a Chief of Police, and NO actual police force?

Why assume they are not going to have a police force?

No clue if he's "MAGA". I know Dustin and he's not retarded, so I would assume he's not a Democrat.

You don’t have to be a democrat to have shitty policy. Jeff Landry is a prime example of that

He asked a question, I think that's him trying to educate himself.

A wise man once said, the only stupid question is the one that you do not ask. People don't think it be like that but it do.

I don't.

That's why I was confused about what these people are postulating here, and raining downvotes on me over.

Gravy is counting on that extra funding for a new grocery store in NBR.

But he is willing to settle for a Church's, a rib joint, and a half dozen ice cream trucks.

Provided he gets a sufficient monthly stipend for all.
