I don't think a Democrat will be elected to statewide office in Louisiana for a while

JBE is going to run against Jeff and he is going to win.

Note: I hate JBE.

Landry has been the absolute worst politician I think I’ve ever seen

Terrible governor, but great politician.

Almost everyone on TD says he’s a POS, but 95% of them voted for him or didn’t vote at all. Pretty savvy politicking by him.

Ok, assume I agree. what do you think of reforming tort law, moving to no fault, and dropping insurance mandate in Louisiana?

I don’t know. I think the GOP would just need to keep reminding voters during such a campaign that JBE vetoed a bill to keep boys from competing in girls’ sports and he wanted to fine and shut down businesses for not enforcing his mask mandates.

I think the Republican Party in La is so insulated that they don’t realize how hated Landry has become. I can assure you a won’t ever vote for that stupid m’fer ever again. He falls into the “I wouldn’t pisd on him if his guts were on fire” category

He announced the Ten Commandments thing the same day he vetoed a Tort reform bill. It was a diversion. Nothing more, nothing less.

Anything Landry is for is self serving and is probably bad for the majority of us. Even As a republican, it’s disappointing how he won the election. I don’t understand how anyone can trust or believe in him.

He was “MAGA”. He was endorsed by Trump, Jr., which his campaign let it flow through communities that he was endorsed by former President Trump himself. The LA GOP was begging for money to keep their consultant gravy train running, and Landry could deliver on that, so they endorsed him from the get-go despite legit conservatives in the race.

Not surprised at all Landry swept the field from the get go. But I am astonished at even intelligent conservatives across the state saying “We didn’t realize all this.”

You were told. You were warned. You opted to ignore.

Landry has many faults but he is miles better than JBE. He needs to be challenged from the right Remember what JBE did during COVID the transgender issues no economic development did nothing on crime etc JBE is even more in the pockets of the Trial lawyers than Landry. Need a conservative business candidate to challenge him not JBE

The people who only get their political news from Fox News and facebook still think he's great because he how far to the right he is on social issues and that's all they hear about. These people don't even know legislative session is going on right now

I'm not sure the failed amendments are not as much a referendum on Landry as anything else?

This. His antics won’t allow him to get anything done through the registered voter. The only sway he has is with the state lawmakers and if they know what’s good for them and want to actually benefit the state they better separate from him quick. His approval ratings have to be abysmal.

Landry's shifting blame to the insurance commissioner instead of actually working towards the root cause. This is so that going forward he can just finger point and say that it's the commissioner's fault.

Y'all do know Louisiana is fricked already.

You're losing population. You've lost 2 congressional seats in 40 years, and thanks to the politicians you elect and the people they suck off, you'll lose another 2 seats by the time the 2050 census is out.

Both owe their allegiance to trial lawyers who have a chokehold on Louisiana right now. Landry is all YEEHAW and not really a conservative nor has he ever actually been one.
