I'm pretty sure having more than 50 people walking around the aisles in a grocery store doesn't fit the definition of a "gathering."

What if it’s 100 people all on the toilet paper aisle.

is worse in NOLa because that’s where the majority have tests have been done. Testing wasn’t being done in other parts of the state till just recently.

So what you’re saying is it could be throughout the state already? Man our hospitals must be overrun!

Does that also mean the airport, airplanes, hotels, One Shell Square, all other high rise buildings downtown have to close?

We are on the same trajectory as Italy at the moment.

No we aren’t. Population densities and just our social behaviors differ drastically from them.

Also Italy is the second oldest country on the planet.

You need to just accept that this is where we are. Really doesn’t matter if you agree or not.

I don’t like that this precedent is set that any time a virus comes out of fricking China the state or federal government can just shut down society and the only crash the economy.

VAST majority of people shake this shite off like any normal bug. What we should do is just quarantine old people.

they end up not being overrun, it's because smart people (unlike yourself) implemented social distancing successfully

Go frick yourself. I've been at home reading and cleaning all weekend. I was not one of these hundreds of people running to the grocery store at once.

The hospital beds will not be overrun with people infected with Covid19

Maybe, but they don't have any right to jeapordize our livelihoods.
That they're doing it for our own good should boil the blood of any man. I haven't asked them to take care of my health, and they can't provide for my family.

This is an overreach by the government, plain and simple. By happily agreeing to it you are happily agreeing to be a ward of the state with the illusion of freedom.
