This is an overreach by the government, plain and simple. By happily agreeing to it you are happily agreeing to be a ward of the state with the illusion of freedom.

It’s sad how many people don’t get that. A little panic and everybody wants to let Governor water head make all their decisions.

I don’t like that this precedent is set that any time a virus comes out of fricking China the state or federal government can just shut down society and the only crash the economy.

I understand this but the precedent is set for when a global pandemic is declared nit just any virus. But I do understand.

You think they think about the long game? So you shut down restaurants forcing people to hit the grocery stores. Now the grocery stores, which are already empty due to the panickers, are even more cleared out because of necessity. There are a lot of morons making bad decisions so they can out-stupid the coastal governors.

To be fair, I wouldn't like it if any governor did this, especially if I was an ardent supporter.

Hopefully people figure out this is the government seeing how far they can go. The government never gives up power. Now that they've taken this much this will become normal life.

It's the same shite. You try to quarantine it..but it's in ever major city. You try to avoid it, but it spreads.

And if you're exposed to a hefty dose of it, depending on the help you get, it can be fatal.

Totally agree. I’m just making reference to our water head since this is a LA thread.

Bailouts incoming.

You think demand for products and services is going to be permanently affected once this is over?

Actually, the worst part about this is that people will look to this as a viable solution in the future. The people are setting a precedent for themselves.

You think schools, restaurants, casinos, etc will stay closed and assembly of more than 50 people will stay enforced when this is over? Now who’s fearmongering?

Read the post I replied to. Wasn’t in reference to servers being paid or not, it was about sending people the store for food because they were shutting restaurants down.
