Everything pu wed is on the bypass (except named restaurants). Nice down town area, but not really much to do there besides look around.

Black is not open.

Food etc on charity is a hole in the wall. Get a shrimp and fish plate and the egg rolls are absolutely the tits.
What can be better than a place run by vietnamese that serves fried chicken, Cajun and Chinese food.
Oh a you can thank me later for the characters you will meet there.

Shuck's is severely over rated .. and Black's is now a reception venue.

In Kaplan eat at Mickey's, Suire's or Pincher's.

Abbeville -- El Camino (best steak ever) and Dupuy's

Gueydan -- only know about Lockwoods.

Oh and watch out -- the roads SUCK.

Take a 20 minute drive and have lunch at Jefferson Island, enjoy the tropical oasis in the middle of the cane fields. It feels like you’re in a different part of the country.

Tito's La Casa-New Italian Restaurant in downtown Abbeville is delicious. Also if you need a smoke shop Pippi's Purpose near the Walmart has good stuff. Friday night HS football is good with Vermilion Catholic and Erath. St. Mary Magdalen is a great Catholic Church in Downtown Abbeville. Stay away from non-main roads.

If you want to be hoodrat then Paradise Gentlemans/Strip Club just opened off Veterans.

Pete's Drive In in Kaplan used to be great but it's recently closed, probably just around 1990 or so.

They should have never closed the Chez’ Paree on Graceland Ave. Used to be a popular tourist attraction. Old timers remember.
