That happened to me years ago. Got laid off on a Friday, birthday was a Saturday. Ending up getting drunk for about 3 days straight. Hope that helps

What do you call a furry that got laid off and laid at the same time?

A furloughed fur load.

If you get stuck in your head over the coming days, remember this will just be a memory one day. Fight through it, it will be over and behind you before you know it. Who knows, this might lead you somewhere far better than you ever dreamed of. Hang in there.

Bang their wives until the market improves, then get your job back with a 20% raise.

Have you considered a tricked out transit van to boondock all over the Pacific Northwest?

To echo what another poster has said take a week or two off. Unwind, travel, clean the cobwebs out of your mind. After your short break, the main thing is to get up and move forward. Bad things happen to good people all of the time. You will be fine. Prayers sent your way brother...... Take care!

Was this additional investment in AI? Reporting and analytics is definitely an area where AI is taking over.

ETA: Also, sorry to hear that news, I didn’t mean to be insensitive.

Don't wait around to start looking for another job. Jump right in to job market search. And don't hesitate to apply for unemployment benefits. Here in La. there is a 2 week "waiting period, i.e. no benefits start till after the 3rd week.

I have been laid off in sales four times and probably getting laid off again as our manufacturer is not making any money.

But look at me, man. I’m here right now. I have a gut and spent a long time looking for jobs that had my salary preferences.

I say I have a gut because the Lord never allowed me to miss one meal.

Once you get re-hired, you’ll look back and see it wasn’t that bad. But I get it, you’re wondering when that will happen.

It will.

Here, listen to RC Sproul til the end of this vid talk about his father whom had a stroke and still…..STILL told him to worry about nothing.

Start a YouTube channel where all you do is watch paint dry. It’ll make millions.
