Got a new truck. Let me know what you think.

I’ve been looking for a new truck for a while. I fish a ton so I drag a boat around and needed to upgrade from my 03 4runner with 280k miles on it.
The 4runner is still with me and I plan to give it to my son when he gets old enough to drive. Okay back to what I bought.
I found a 2020 Ram bighorn with the Hemi. It has the giant 12 inch media display for gps and music. The truck has 30 thousand miles and I’m extremely impressed. It drives great, 4wd works perfectly and it is huge compared to my old 4 runner. Carfax showed no wrecks and just an older man that got all the maintenance done….. it still smells new. I’m like a kid in a candy store bc I’m a cheap bastard and don’t like to buy newer stuff but I really like the truck.
Anyone have any experience with this 5th Gen. Ram? I’m very impressed and I got a heck of a deal on it.
I’m looking to put some 305s on the stock 20 inch wheels or maybe that 2 inch lift (level kit). Believe it or not but my old 4 runner with 280k miles is a tank and I would bet it would outrun the new Ram but I was missing that 4wd when I launch my boat in dirt.
Any opinions or suggestions welcome!

Congrats. People like to dunk on dodge/fiat but the vehicles they care about are built well, and they care about the Ram and Challenger.

at least it's not a Ford.

Sell it
I’m all ears add to why because I can turn around and make a profit but I really like it. I think with new tires it’ll work perfectly for what I need it to do. Just haul my boat and drop my son off at school. It sure beats my old 4 runner.

We are all very proud of you son, especially your Nana. She beams with pride that you now have two trucks and asks that you visit after you finish putting big wheels on the new one.

F*ck the haters, good for you man.

My 5th gen has been awesome. I have owned both Ford and Chevy over the years. I think the good thing about Ram producing it is that it has forced the others to step up their technology integration as opposed to making slight insignificant modifications every year.

Neon bars all around, LED in the wheel wells.

Great, you immediately go from 18mpg on the highway to 12mpg. Brilliant. But you look cool doing it...

Before retiring our company's basic Dodge V6 PU had about 180K miles and it didn't require anything beyond routine maintenance.

Some 2019-2020 Ram 1500’s have problems with water leaking from the 3rd brake light/shark fin antenna and/or rear windows. I would check that to make sure your truck isn’t one of those

A used dodge. Save money for repairs.

Ram has not been a dodge since 2009.
