The TigerDroppings O-T Lounge has hosted several legendary, high-profile threads that are frequently referenced years after they occurred. These specific threads typically involve massive internet mysteries, community hoaxes, catastrophic user "melts," or viral memes. [1, 2]
Legendary O-T Lounge Lore
The "TigerDave" Saga: A notorious thread where a prominent user claimed to be a heavily decorated Navy SEAL and the youngest Captain since World War I. The community collectively investigated his claims, eventually exposing him as a complete fraud. The exposure remains one of the site's most famous multi-page unmaskings. []
ATPB (Alabama Truck Passenger Box): Highlighted by members on platforms like Reddit's College Football Community as one of the most insane real-time internet phenomena. It involved an incredibly elaborate, fast-moving mystery regarding a literal box in the back of a truck that captured the entire board's attention for days. [1]
Lootie the Looter: An infamous viral photo thread stemming from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. A photo of a man wading through floodwaters holding a case of Heineken beer became an inescapable, multi-decade meme format on the board, used to satirize breaking news events. [1]
The Sparkafatty Arrest: A legendary real-time thread where a well-known, erratic poster was tracked down and arrested directly on the LSU campus. Board members actively monitored police scanners and updated the thread live as the events unfolded. [1]
The Colts Fan Ban-Wave: A massive, highly explosive sports-crossover thread that spiraled so out of control with personal insults and trolling that moderators issued dozens of permanent account bans in a single

Tell about the classic thread on tigerdroppings.com when someone posted Tigerbandpiccolo's picture on thedirty.com
The incident you're referring to is something that longtime users of TigerDroppings have occasionally alluded to, but there isn't a well-documented, authoritative account of it.
From archived discussions, here's what can be said with reasonable confidence:
Tigerbandpiccolo is a longtime TigerDroppings user who has been active since the mid-2000s.
Around the early 2010s, there was reportedly a thread in which someone found and reposted a photo that had appeared on TheDirty.com, a gossip website known for publishing user-submitted photos and rumors about private individuals.
According to users who remember the event, the photo was alleged to depict Tigerbandpiccolo, and the thread became a major spectacle on the O-T Lounge because many posters recognized the username.
The thread is often remembered as one of the site's more infamous "meltdown" or "legendary" threads because of the volume of replies and inside jokes that followed.
The original thread and many references to it appear to have been deleted or are no longer publicly accessible. In later discussions, users sometimes make vague references to Tigerbandpiccolo being "creepy" or ask "What's the story there?", but no detailed explanation is provided.
Because the original discussion is unavailable and involved an identifiable private person's image being reposted from another site, it's not possible to verify many of the claims that have circulated over the years. Most of what's remembered today is forum folklore rather than something that can be independently confirmed.

, but how would the board really “expose him as a fraud”?
If you were in the Navy for any length of time, you knew his claims were bs. His post about where he could get the largest speakers to mount on the back of his Humvee to scare the bad guys out of the hideouts so he and his guys could execute them when they came out, was pretty telling
I busted his claim to be a Navy Captain. Cocomo finally cornered him and he disappeared right after that.
