Real shootings aren’t like the movies hoss.

People don’t fly backwards 10 feet, explode blood from the wounds, and become instantaneously dead.

This is why you shoot until the threat is neutralized.

This is why I boobytrap paint buckets with rope in front of all doors and stair cases.

Heard the media isnt telling the whole story. The house they were at was the Ex-boyfriend and daughter's place. How does the law hold up for that? Trying to break into your own home and get shot and killed. From the video you cant tell what happened before so it's only their word from the video?

None of that matters when you break through a door that is dead-bolted. The dad had a right to defend and protect and the dipshit was warned.

Are you sure about that? Every report I read stated that they had been broken up and moved on for over 1 year.

But just for the hypothetical, I do imagine that would throw a wrench in things if that truly was his house, though I don't know he wouldn't just unlock the door, but I digress.

Again, I don't think it's the case here, but if it's the dude's house and the person who shot him is not a homeowner, I find it difficult to believe that would not matter.

I'm pretty sure if someone broke into my house, and then I got home and realized it and busted through the chain lock, they would NOT have the right to shoot me.

Pretty good strategy to leak this Ring video early on.

I saw this a few days ago when it first happened, and thought he maybe deserved it. Then I started reading the comment section. They had quite a few people stating that the report and media are leaving out information that the place wasnt the girl's parents. He did get kicked and locked out though. Shitty situation nonetheless.

Yeah broken up for a long time, but how she answered the phone to 911. "some man at the front door", and "he left me a voice message". she knew he was following her and the mom that day. do you think it's a little sus? I'm not defending the guy but just pointing out the media and story dont add up

Is it suspicious that a psycho ex is stalking you and then follows you home and then tries to break down the door and who knows what else?

Yes, that is highly suspicious behavior. Behavior that will get you shot breaking through a door

happened while ago. grand jury has reviewed the evidence and decided to not charge. that doesn't happen in a couple days. the sister is spinning a narrative that doesn't seem to have any factual support

I would have done the same thing. You act like an idiot breaking down someone’s down you get an idiot’s prize. Good riddance.

Castle Doctrine. He was forcibly trying to gain entry. Armed or not, it is a good shoot. Better be thankful it was recorded.

Only drawback is the last shot was taken as the intruder was running away. That will be brought up.

Not at all. She doesn't have to be detailed on a 911 call.

Straight from the county prosector:
quote:

Shelby County Prosecutor Tim Sell told local media that a grand jury declined to charge the father in Rayl’s death, citing the state’s "Stand Your Ground" and "Castle Doctrine" that allows homeowners to use lethal force when threatened.

I certainly wouldn't put any stock in what you see in comments on social media and run with that over the county prosector telling you it was the Father's house.

Why do you hope that he suffered? Introspection is needed.
