Im retiring in 2-3 years. Officially retired now but making extra cash for DROP. Im looking at bass pro, stines, or tractor supply about 24-30 hours a week. I spend a lot of my money there so might as well get a discount

I worked part-time at the post office during holidays. Great way to stay busy and meet people in my little town

I help with a number of things since retirement. I’ve helped with Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, and the Food Bank. I also coordinated golf tournaments for First Responders, Folds of Honor and Cystic Fibrosis.
Too many things you can do.

What’s the point of retiring to get a part time job? Hopefully in 9-10 years when I retire I won’t need a part time job. If I needed a part time job I just as well stay where I’m at for pay and benefits

Because you want to keep your mind active and give yourself a reason to get out of bed in the morning. And do so with minimal stress and not too much required of you.

Ushering LSU baseball games would be great too.

You gotta learn how to be a real hardass in patroling people sitting in (or even standing near) empty grandstand seats that stay open through all nine innings and maybe beyond.

Maybe I'd offer my services to Zoomers to put gas in their cars.

Oh I agree to that. But man I’m not punching a clock even part time! We have a lot of traveling to do. I’m sure by the time I retire my kids will be buying a home I’ll be remodeling to some extent or building something. I just know I’ll always have a project or something to do.

"hello sir, can I get a member number" (if you don't already know them). Start small talk for 5-7mins, "tee is all yours".

Attorney.

That's a great idea. Every grown man in here wants to go into law school when they retire so they can start working part time as an attorney.

Just make sure you talk to a financial advisor

You wouldn’t believe how many people start drawing social security and working, only to get taxed out the arse for every dollar they earn over a certain threshold

It’s avoidable, just be smart

My dad delivers Bundt cakes for the local ‘Nothing Bundt Cakes’ franchises. If there are no deliveries, he makes the bank runs or helps assemble boxes, etc. He works probably 20 hours/week.

Ok so I’ll host a show that talks about hunting fishing cooking LSU sports pelicans hoops and Saints football.

It’ll be a gravy train.

A part time job and its income can really screw you in healthcare costs. Relax and get a couple hobbies.

That is why you get a cash job.
