What an idiot. That one needed to be culled, sooner better than later.

How the frick was the suspect alive after all that shooting. He must have had 10+ bullets in him

I thought he croaked. At the end it showed "...had the suspect survived...."

Hope he is dead.

It can also be argued that the public caused this problem.

Wasted. Stood over the perp and kept firing. That is what happened when you wave a gun around at the cops and don’t comply.

Cops are lucky they didn't kill their own K-9.

well look here, Robocop, whenever you feel you can do it better while under fire (or the threat of fire) you go ahead and go join the PD. I'm sure they'd love to have someone with your ability. You obviously would perform better while taking fire from a fleeing perp. Let us know how it goes.

This is one of the most intense situations you can be in. They aren't able to train like SF as the also have a job to do.

I have no problem with them shooting him in that situation but I do have a problem with the countless shots after he's already down and not moving. Really? I mean, he deserved what he got but at what point does it stop being a life or death situation for the officers?

again, go join the force, get shot at by some TPOS while in a foot pursuit and have to defend yourself. Then let us know how calm, cool , and collected you are while all of this is happening.

fricking armchair QBs all questioning and criticizing they guys in the middle of the event

nothing like sitting at your desk in the security of your home and finding fault with the guys getting shot at while you're in between jerk off sessions with babe threads.

You didn't watch the video very closely. He was still moving. And his gun was within reach.

When the subject is no longer moving and does not have access to his weapon.

You have no idea what the adrenaline rush is for that perp that was shot. Watch the video, after all the shots, he's still moving, as his adrenaline is skyrocketing.

These people saying shoot twice and hope? No way. They're trained to shoot until the threat is no longer. A guy shot, still moving, with a gun within reach of his hand, still poses a threat.

Cops and concealed carry civilians are now trained to shoot and shoot and shoot until the threat is stopped. That’s explicitly stated in the video.

I don’t know how many lives this saves, but I know it leads to a guaranteed death for anyone that pulls a gun on a cop, no matter how likely/able that person is to be able to do any damage with said gun after being first shot.

As far as how many lives it saves, I’d like to know how many times, prior to this training paradigm coming into practice, a cop or bystander was shot by someone who was already down on the ground from being shot by police.
Like were there a lot of criminals getting shot, falling down, dropping their pistol, and then able to pick it up and kill the cops surrounding them?

When you know he isn't breathing and can't grab the gun withing arm reach. Don't point guns at cops if you don't want to get shot repeatedly while on the ground?

I can't tell if Meredith smoked that dude in the face at the end or not. He definitely came pretty close.

I don't think it was excessive but definitely lucky those cops didn't hit each other crossing into one another's line of fire. Was a bit worried about the dog because in one of the shots he lays down/rolls over, but I think he was just following a command.

That was a suicide by cop.

When someone points a weapon at a cop they initiate a process that has no ability to have any other outcome.
