Explain what emotional cheating is.
Texting and talking but no physical action. Although I'm willing to bet he nailed the chick and she just doesn't know it.

You dumped her yet?
Let us know how that goes

So similar to your current situation.

We're supposed to go to a ballgame tomorrow. I'm probably going to call her tonight and end it.

Y'all are right. I need to run far and fast.
Tell her you had a change of heart and that you don't think she is emotionally ready yet. Give it a year or so and when she is ready, if interested, to give you a call. Then make sure you keep her number so you can decline the call down the road unless you just want a hook up...
Or change your number and move. Burn your old place down and send a fake obituary to the paper because bitches be crazy and she might stalk you after breaking up with her.

You are way better than me because if I had walked in a place a woman I was in a relationship had invited me to, only to see her making out with another guy, I wouldn't have said a word and just left and blocked her from contacting me. I wouldn't have given two shits how she got home.
Yup. I’ve been here, back when I was a young man. 20 years old, just off my first WestPac cruise . Things took off like a rocket from the very first date. Got engaged. Blissfully happy with her, missed her terribly when she wasn’t near.
She invites me to a party, I make my way there from the base after late duty. Party’s been going on for hours when I arrive. Go looking for her. Walk in to see her in the arms of another guy lip locked. She never even sees me. Turn around and walk out, absolutely crushed. Leave and make my way back to the base. Call her the next day to tell it’s off and that I want the ring back.
Later find out from shipmates that she never stopped seeing her ex, a nuke on my same f#€£ing ship. She was spinning plates the whole time. The whole experience was devastating but necessary, teaching two huge lessons for young men:
1 - Never, EVER date a girl who is out of a serious prior relationship. You’re just the rebound, kid.
2- Some women will just use you, kid. They need that emotional fix like a drug. You’re just her Bong, probably one of several. She’ll tell you whatever you want to hear . Learn the signs and avoid like poison ivy.

Why would you end it. Why wouldn’t you just keep hitting that until it fizzles out. It’s free arse, maybe she’s ugly idk

There’s that hesitation again.

I gotta admit, none of this happened and I don't care. Hook was shiny.

Man, I am not sure you have it in you. At a minimum, if you can't completely break up with her, call of the exclusivity.

Because it sounds like OP can't separate feelings from fricking at this juncture.

Maybe her ex didn’t seem to care about her because he found out she is a filthy lying whore

Since you’ve finally seen the light, may as well have some dirty “makeup” sex before cutting her lose. Maybe she’ll even let you do Butt stuff.

This instantly becomes tGOAT if OP streams the call.

Just text her a link to this thread and tell her the internet doesn't let y'all be together.

Maybe you could arrange to end it at the ball game with the help of the folks who run the Jumbotron.

I show up at the bar, and I catch her grinding with and making out with another guy.
Just know this one thing, she would have fricked that guy had you not shown up. Bank on it.

She assured me that she's not a cheater
She is a cheater, she cheated on you. You said yourself yall are in an exclusive relationship.
I know cheaters, I was one. It gets easier the more times they "forgive" you.
quote:
I have chosen to forgive her for this one incident and move forward.
Bad decision.
quote:
I think this one incident is a result of a lapse of judgement and care that stems from these issues.
This is the line of thinking that gets you cheated on again. Or married and cheated on.
quote:
Starting a relationship with a new man in her life scares her to death, and I think she folded to the temptation/lack of concern, with the alcohol as an obvious aid to that notion.
Then she has no business being in a relationship until her shite is worked out.
