No but that finally got a pic of your mom. They needed to get that far out to make sure she could fit in frame.

So now, I guess most of the tests etc (interesting stuff) is done, and we're just waiting for them to come back? Or is there something else to watch for?

My moon globe finished printing last night, and I left the stand to print while I slept. I am happy with it, except I need to find a brighter puck light, which I anticipated. I just used one I had. I will also reprint the top of the stand in black so it doesn't stand out as much. I didn't anticipate it being as annoying as it is.

Some pics of it, including it doing an impression of a blood moon.

Looking through the tech board, you've owned a 3D printer for less than a month. Fast learner. Great job.

Comms issues tonight have delayed the press conference by an hour. I believe it's now slated to start around 9:45pm.

Better to be able to troubleshoot it and eventually solve the problem than not. It's something that will certainly be needed on future missions.

Last night was interesting as they were doing tests to figure out what could be improved. It sounds like the toilet was fine but the venting plumbing was frozen. It should be easy to put insulation on the lines or perhaps they just stick with attitude adjustments and let the sun heat them. The other thing that stood out was them using zip ties to bundle cords. Reid called down and told them they needed to have a different way to bundle to avoid the possibility of metal heating up so the bundling wouldn't fail.

Today is them preparing the capsule for splashdown. A few PAOs and finishing up on tasks testing out Orion. Then praying the heat shield doesn't fail tomorrow.

Met him too about ten years ago in Mississippi. Also net Charlie Duke when he gave a talk in Mandeville.

This must be the most boring day of the mission. They already saw the eclipse and the back of the moon. Now they're just making a long trip home.

Watching this daily NASA PC and something just feels off. They're saying the right things but the tension in the air is palpable.
