Maybe not but they used to have somewhat older associates who were either retired or had some type of construction expirence and who actually GAS.

This depends entirely upon the area in which you live. The hiring pool is typically whoever lives within 10-15 minutes of that store location.

I was told that Home Depot just lets you steal stuff. If that's the case, don't worry about customer service.

That would be the Bass Pro Shops in Denham Springs.

I go to the local hardware store. Probably pay more but the guys seem to know their stuff.

I try to support my local hardware guy, too. Dude's father started the business as a Western Auto back in the 50's. Has known my grandfather and father though the years. Nice, knowledgeable guy and really isn't that much more expensive that the HD or Lowes.

What I like about the local store too is that they often sell small things as individual units. So if I only need five of a particular size bolt, I can buy just five and not a bag of fifty.

It's the case with any big box store. I hate the stories about employees trying to do the right thing being punished too, but this isn't some big store conspiracy to promote stealing.

Those rules are the product of insurance requirements and litigation avoidance.

One annoyance with Home Depot is they don't immediately tow away people that park in the contractor pickup and just go shop.

Also, their parking lots often suck for people with trailers. . . And those are the people spending more than a nickel and dime customer.

Sometimes but I can promise you these folks don't live 10 to 15 mins from the store although it is on the Marta bus line.

Ace about 5 mins away obviously has much better CS.

Used to work for a cellular company, and people would still shite all the time. We would just write it off on inventory. The phones itself were a different story
