St Charles Parish is going to have a HUGE turnout...they have a very heated race for an At Large Parish seat between 2 republicans, a male vs a female.

A republican won that seat in '08

Bc the Dems ran Jefferson. And that day was cold and rainy. It was a perfect storm for an upset.

My mind is still blown that gerrymandering is allowed. Where are gerrymandered districts to elect white Republicans in the San Francisco Bay Area? You are telling me New Orleans and North Baton Rouge require gerrymandering to elect a black Democrat? Isn't BR majority black? Isn't New Orleans?
Its more to guarantee that that will be the only Dem elected to Congress in this state.

Dems voted for Jefferson over Richmond and Helena Moreno who also ran

I enjoyed reading his book “Outcast”. It’s a quick easy read that explains where he’s coming from.

Better option than Gary Chambers or anyone else running. Simply based on being a good human being.

Thought about it for a second, but it would be a wasted vote. Voted for Troy because Gary not sneaking his way into a runoff is more important to me.

Too late, already voted early and often for Gary

Cap was as Rupublican as Mitt Romney. Voted for Obamacare. Only won because he was running against frozen dollar bill Jefferson

Federal Judges demanded a black majority district to ensure black representation in Congress.
Result is that it guarantees there will never be more than one and the ruling party in each district doesn’t give a frick about people from the other party
Law of unintended consequences yet bright lights in this thread blame Republican gerrymandering.
