I make sure to take mine straight to the dump to prevent any poors from having the satisfaction of fixing it and then boasting about it on the Internet.

Cool, where are you going to put all that shite now?
This dude I know... His daddy has this huge arse shop.. It looks like a storage unit on steroids and he will ride around and if he sees something that could be used for something he will pick it up.. The thing is, once he puts it in his shop that's it. He probably don't what he actually has in there. So it goes from being on side the road for the trash people to pick it up to a huge shop with a bunch of other shite that once the old man dies will, will be thrown away.
People don't want shite just taking up space because one day it might be able to be used for something.

Even that was based on something older.

And I do know when the effort isn’t worth the reward.
I put on the curb a generator that locked up on me. Couldn’t even manually rotate the crankshaft. That went to my curb.
What was funny was I was repairing a blower when a hispanic guy picked up my broken generator.
I grabbed the chainsaws just to see if they were easily repaired. And they were. If after inspection they weren’t worth repairing, they would have gone on my curb.

Are you retarded? It’s the OP’s judgmental attitude that people have an issue with for the most part.
And how do you know that the hobby pays for itself? One guy posted about making $2200 in a year.
No, not retarded, but some of the posters seem to think the OP is poor and on meth because he has some leisure time, some skills and has a hobby he enjoys. As far as the poster who made $2200 bucks goes if they enjoyed it and it paid for itself in part or in whole its as legit as playing golf or fishing which, for most people, simply costs money and does not pay for itself in any way.
I don't know what would be wrong with someone doing what the OP did full time if they made their nut doing so and enjoyed doing it....in fact I would be pretty happy for them...I certainly wouldn't call them derogatory names because they had some time and skills....that's just, as you say, retarded....

I say this all the time, but a couple hundred bucks to you isn’t the same as a couple hundred bucks to me. More people need to understand this.

I've got a broken washing machine in my garage if you want to take it off of my hands. (I will not give you my address)

Like if that’s your thing good for you and all, but he had to ride around and pick all that stuff up, then buy all the parts, then spend time fixing it all, then he has to have the type of people looking to buy a used repaired dryer off marketplace over to his house and haggle with them.
Even if he sells it all for 300 bucks, he’s barely making any profit and spending a ton of his time. The people he is trying to mock got their old item hauled off for free and have moved on.
I've been both guys, but these days I'm happy to just get rid of the stuff now. Dealing with FB Marketplace and garage sale people is just not in the cards for me anymore.

I love you people for real, some of that shite don't fit in the garbage can. We purposely put it to the road so you guys can get rid of it for us.
Thanks bro!

I saw them by accident.

You forgot to add the $65/per hour and 20% markup.
It might be just $20 or $30 for YOU to fix but you have add time and mark up on parts
