I got one of mine. The percocet prescription was for someone with a very similar last name and she grabbed the wrong one.

I broke my ankle awhile back that required an external fixator. The Dr. prescribed Lovenox Subcutaneous, which is prepared syringe with a very thin needle that is injected in the abdomen and is prescribed as a blood thinner to prevent blood clots. The Pharmacy misread the prescription and gave me a diuretic, the exact opposite of what I needed. The pharmacy gave me one weeks worth of Lovenox (about $800.00 at the time)free to make up for the mistake.

When I was little I worked at a pharmacy and delivered, pharmacist's son was in the war and he got distracted and gave me wrong meds, when I showed him he hit me so hard my ear bled, but he eventually thanked me and went on to have a wonderful life

When I had my rotator surgery a couple of years ago, Rite Aid was in transistion over to Walgreens. My wife went to get my meds and they put the pain med into the muscle relaxer and vice versa. A lot of pain ensued for a few days until this was sorted out by my D-I-L who works for CVS.

I know a guy who's parents were missionaries in New Guinea when he was a child, his father had to repair his old 4 wheel drive scout, so he could drive what's usually 7 hours one way to the nearest village that had a pharmacy, so he could get penicillin for his (sons) abscessed tooth. It was rainy season and his scout slid off the road, so he had to wait a day for someone to come by to pull him out of the ditch.
That was about a 3 day trip to the drug store, but really not a horror story like what happened to you.

Pharmacists are also now having to deal with the rollout of the COVID vaccine so I imagine they are much more busy rn than usual

I straight up challenged those mofo at CVS in Gonzales. Tell me my prescription is ready and then when I get there they say we couldn’t fill your prescription because of a prior authorization problem.
Or another excuse is we don’t have your pills in stock but we got a truck coming in two days.
I threw a fricking Gatorade bottle at them bout two years ago. I was pissed. Most poorly run pharmacy ever. I’ll go to Baton Rouge and get my shite. Very rude employees. I thought I would have street cred at cvs cause of my color but those bitches be losing my business. I don’t play when I’m off my meds.
Shite needs new management.

A pharmacist was upset about his son dying, wasn't paying attention and put poison in a prescription. A young boy that worked for the pharmacist as a delivery clerk noticed the error and didn't deliver the meds like he was supposed to. The pharmacist found out that he didn't deliver the meds and boxed the boy's ears for not doing his job. The boy finally told the pharmacist about the error, and the pharmacist realized the boy saved the someone's life and the pharmacist's own arse. And he thanked the boy for doing such a good thing.

I am banned from the Walgreens on Spring Green and 1093 in Fulshear for telling the woman working the pharmacy that she was illiterate and smelled like an elephant.
It wasn’t a horror for me but I think she did finally bathe.

Not really the pharmacy’s fault but we have a pharmacy plan through our health insurance at work and it sucks total arse. I take meds each morning and pick them up every month on the 2nd; same prescription since I was like 19.
Never fails, every single month they deny it, I have to call them, it gets approved and then filled by the pharmacy. It’s such a fricking fiasco
