I feel bad for the people who work in those chains. It’s like they’re drones.

My family has had a drug store for almost 100 years. I used to love helping out there, because you got to interact with so many people. Heck I even delivered for my dad. It’s in a small town, so my dad used to get up at night and fill prescriptions for people. Don’t know if my brother still does that because of safety reasons.

I can’t understand why anyone would decide to use a chain when an independent mom and pop place would have your meds in 10 minutes. Not to mention better service and less likely hood of errors. Most of these chains only have one pharmacist at any given time unless they are doing 1000 scripts a day then they may have overlap. 1 guy verifying 300-400 scripts, giving vaccines, making sure techs filled it right... just asking for med errors
