Uber black used to not have multipliers on it.
In certain situations, it was half price or even less to Uber Black as opposed to their shitty entry level.
A few years ago my wife had to go to a convention in houston and I tagged along. While we were standing out there waiting for our ride, her boss's boss's boss's boss was standing there. He noticed us, and said hello. His uber pulled up, and it was a prius. As he's loading his bags, ours pulls up in a new nonplated s550 and a middle eastern guy in a literal 3 piece suit hops out, says "Mr. And Mrs. Xxxxx, please allow me to get the door."
I will never forget his look of utter and total confusion.
He probably spent 5x what we did and did a ride share
Is it still the same setup?

That's a good way of putting it. I walked back from Tiger Stadium to a friend's house after the State game in 2014 and I was almost jumped by some assholes in a pickup truck. Thank goodness I had a flashlight and showed them my knuckles.

Well her first problem is taking Uber Select which is a lot more pricey than X. Bet it was surging like crazy as well.

According to the app, Hopper, there are a lot of places you can fly for under $300 if you planning in advance. There are flights to Vegas from New Orleans, in November for right under $200... Man frick paying $300 for that. I don't know, but I would feel like I was getting ripped off and tried to negotiate a cheaper price or something. I wonder what percentage of the money drivers get? They must make some money on game night.

Lol, I just walk. Walked from the stadium to Perkins/Acadian and just smiled as I walked by all the cars stuck in traffic.

As a former Uber driver, props to the guy.
I was able to make about $90.00 taking someone stupid enough from near the West Campus Apartments to the McDonalds on Nicholson.
