Have you figured out a way for that?
Salesman told me there’s some way you can do it through the app. I haven’t looked into to see if I could do it. I either hit the button when I crank up or cuss and then hit it when I get to the first red light

Took less than 5 seconds to unplug that pia aggravating start/stop crap on my 2020 F-150 on day 1.
Better idea my ace!!!

My dad is aggravated, he just bought a 2024 Chevy 1500 and everytime he can he bitches about the auto shutoff. He’s 70 years old hates the new bells and whistles. I just hit mine everytime I think of it like you said.

I've owned all the big 3 and a Yota...
On my 3rd Ram and love it. Got a 22 crew cab limited 4x4. Best riding truck out there, and I've owned GMC Denali before. Got the big gears and hemi 5.7. pulls like a mule for a half ton truck. Rumor has it that the hemi will make a comeback. Stellantis fired their big guy and new head honcho said hemi coming back!

Just got a 24 Silverado RST Z71 last month. Love it so far.

I disagree. I had a 2020 Tundra and there was nothing special about it. Interior was falling apart. Entertainment/Audio was absolute junk. A/C went out.

I have owned 3 Sierras starting in 2003, the one I bought new in 2003 is still being driven today.
I have been very happy with them.

Bought a Ram as well after owning an F150. Best riding truck I’ve ever been in

My family has been a Chevy family since the 40s. I bought a new Z71 in 2017. It will, in all likelihood, be the last Chevrolet I ever purchase.
Here are my issues:
1. Made in Mexico (after the US taxpayers bailed them out).
2. The paint job is horrible. Thin, easily damaged.
3. Electrical is horrible. I've had to take my entire dash and wheel well skirting apart chasing bad grounds. The power wire to the automatic driver's side window (which is wrapped as part of a larger loom) broke in half from ordinary use within three years of purchase. Same thing is going on with the lock to the driver's side back door.
4. The touchscreen went out within four years. Chevrolet wanted $800 to replace the entire unit. Did some research and found out the Chevy went with a cheap digitizer - thin glass that bows. Bought a $30 replacement from Amazon and fixed it myself.
5. The transmission is complete arse - no torque, rough shifting, have to suck gas to get power. Chevy has since moved to the 10 speed they developed with Ford, so I guess they are equal on that front now.
6. Driver's seat squeaks when you hit a bump or in tight turns. I've had the GM fix applied. Supposedly you can use a piece of fuel hose and clamp to do a better job (read what you will from that statement: GM engineers developed a $100 fix to a $5 problem). Plus, Chevy has had that problem since the style change and doesn't seem concerned about fixing it.
7. It has the "Chevy shake" on the front right. Tires are balanced, alignment is fine. Still shakes and has since the day I got it (thought it was from tires sitting too long at purchase).
8. The body panels are beer-can thin, but that's pretty much all vehicles these days.
9. There's no screen on the grill to protect against incoming objects. After about the third bird flew into it I had to replace my AC condenser. GM saved $100 on not putting the barrier in there, which cost me $800 plus to repair.
My father-in-law has the new F-150 Lariat. Plenty of power, even with the 6 cylinder. Better gas mileage than my Chevy. He has had it in for what seems like a lot of recalls.
I want them to make a mid-80s C-15 with locking hubs, manual transmission, 4-barrel carb, with rubber floors and vinyl seats again. That way the only thing that can stop me is a gas station.

Maintain . . . maybe, but this is not an accurate statement on insurance. I am in the market for a new truck since I plan to "give" my son my 2016 F150 with 230,000 miles.
I called my insurance agent to get quotes on adding a 3rd vehicle for three options a 2015 Ford Explorer, 2023 gently used F150 Lariat 4x4, and brand new F150 Lariat with all the bells and whistles. I was shocked when she told me the brand new truck would only increase my premium by $1,700 a year and the 2015 Explorer would increase it by over $4,000 per year.

Try searching for flaming hunks of shite. That should help you find all of the ones that failed.

The 10 speed from both ford and chevy make old mopar tranmssions look reliable

We were able to disconnect it on my wife’s 2019 F150 with the 5 liter. There is a small connector on the battery that can be unplugged. That disabled the auto shutoff /restart feature .

I have been a Chevy man all my life. I just bought a 2024 F150 STX 4wd supercrew with the 5.0. MSRP was 54k and I got it for 46k with dealer and Ford incentives.
I like the looks of the 2024 F150, the 5.0 has proven to be solid, and they have lined out the earlier 10 speed issues.
Time will tell.
Still have my 2006 Silverado 1500 that has been super reliable with 225k, best trucks Chevy made IMO.

Keeping my 2020 Tundra a while. V8 Engine, an actual Key, and no Auto Start/ Stop. I don't care if it's a guzzler.
