I rotate my tires every time I get an oil change.

I think maybe I just drive mostly city miles and not much highway. I get literally 50-60% of the tread life rating, no matter the brand.

If I were to go somewhere other than a tire shop, it would be Costco,

Discount Tire all the way. They rotate my tires yearly, even balance them when needed too. In and out fast

Just not opened on Sunday.

Local every day all day if you can. Build a relationship with them. I buy my tires from the same fella my granddaddy did 50 years ago. He’s in the ballpark price wise and I trust him.

Been going to this local place for ten years, have a relationship but $150 for a pair or $300 for four difference is a pretty big one

I also remember a tire discussion from a few weeks ago. I think the consensus was Michelin made the best tires.

I've bought tires from Costco and Sam's and never had an issue. I'll check Discount Tires the next time I need some, because I hear good things about them, but price is what I look for.

Costco and Sam's generally have the best prices on Michelins and I have had good luck with them, often getting more than the rated miles. If you want cheaper tires, they may not have as much of a selection.

I mean, aren't you usually jumping over dunes with supermodels?

Not surprised, tbh.

I think it depends on the local shop. My local shop has awesome customer service, very down to earth people, etc, so I will pay them more for the same thing.

If they were buttholes, I would not.

Thanks for the advice. Went the Costco route. Tires are in. Now have to wait til June 8 for installation. Earliest date they had available. Oh well, Half-world problems.

By them at a discount place online, then just pay a shop to put them on for you.

Some wont, but ask if you can just pay a fee to use their equipment and put them on yourself.

Simple Question

Do you drive that vehicle locally

or

Do you drive that vehicle non locally

If local, go withy the local

If distance (especially multi state) go COSTCO as you can get them repaired / replaced at any COSTCO, including Canada. Just remember COSTCO does not do wheel work like alignments and such.

Not sure about COSTCO, but if you do not keep Sam's current the warranties are not good and you can not even get them to print a receipt for purchase so you know when you bought them or what your milage was at the time. I will NEVER join Sam's again.
