German Chancellor Angela Merkel has revealed the government's five-step plan to relax lockdown measures. German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced on Wednesday evening a plan to relax COVID-19 restrictions, including conditions to reopen businesses. Merkel made the announcement following a meeting with the 16 state premiers on Wednesday that lasted more than nine hours. The federal government announced that the lockdown has been extended until at least March 28.

The five-step plan
Step one: Some school classes (albeit at states' individual discretion), daycare, and hairdressers reopen. This step already took place on Monday, March 1.
Step two, starting March 8: Bookstores and florists can reopen with the condition of one customer per 10 square meters. Contact-based professions, such as massage practices, are also allowed to reopen with a negative test result.
Step three, starting March 8 at the earliest: If the recorded cases are less than 50 per 100,000 people, public spaces such asmuseums, zoos and gardens can reopen, as well as retail businesses with at least 10 square meters of space per customer.
Up to 10 people can play non-contact outdoor sports.

Amazing how Germans went from a proud heritage and national pride to now being one of the world leaders of whimpdom.

This what Libtards want here. Totalitarian government control. Make everyone as miserable as them.

Thank God we still have men with testicles leading like De Santis and Reeves

So there would have to be less than 2500 active cases in a place like Louisiana for it to open? Jesus Christ how power hungry are these people?

All the tough German men were killed in 1943. Women and pussies took over.

For the 'it can't happen here' people, look no further than Michigan, California, or New York.

For all of Trump's mistakes regarding the COVID response, leaving it up to the governors was a good idea. It allowed freedom loving states like Florida and South Dakota to show the rest of the country that they were fricking crazy for shutting down.

The bookstore one is odd, but not the florist. Germans love them some flowers. It was one of the oddities I found living there. Not a bad one mind you, but Germans have a need to have fresh flowers around all the time.

Well, as of 3/01 LA was around 4,500, and dropped about 30% since the last time I looked 2-3 weeks ago. So, if trend continues LA should be under 2,500 by the end of March

430,100 total cases as of 3/01
415,954 presumed recovered as of 3/01
9,608 deaths as of 3/01

4,538 active
