Well, Germany is not the only country bombed by the Allies during WWII. I doubt there is any country beside possibly Switzerland that wasn't targeted by U.S., British and Canadian bombers.

This type of thing is very interesting to me. The most interesting podcast I have ever listened to was when Radio Lab did one on the Japanese sending balloons armed with bombs over the ocean to the western united states. They created the only casualties on American soil during the war. There very likely could be more out there even today. The Episode was called FU-Go. Well worth a listen.

Entirely possible, but lets get real. However, to call it a German bomb without even seeing it is odd.

The allies had complete air superiority by then so the Luftwaffe were pretty much limited to defensive missions and very few of those. It could have been a German bomb but the odds are very high that it was allied.
