Man, death valley is a great time. When youre tailgating The fans will talk shite, then quickly offer a giant whiskey drink and good food. They truly dont mean ill will, they are just crazy drunk football fans.

The replies to the OP in this thread makes the story more believable

I haven't read this whole thread, but here are my 2 cents. I have been to every SEC stadium except Vandy, Ky, Mizzou, and Ark. Some multiple times. All it takes for a bad experience is ONE incident. And I have had several, in several places. But I understand that you can't judge a whole fan base on such a small sample size. THERE IS NO DOUBT that LSU has some of the worst human beings in the country as fans. And I hate that. We WELCOME people to our tailgate and I respect the opponents' fans around us and hope they have had a good day and a great time. But I won't judge a whole fan base on one bad experience.
Having said all that, the worst, most vile, most disrespectful, 2nd most entitled (Alabama), fans in the SEC is Florida. Been there 3 times. Have had multiple incidents on all occasions. And have had incidents with them in BR. They are intolerable, insufferable, and horrible. We have Alabama fans at our tailgate and have a great time. But I don't even want Florida fans at my tailgate. And that's the only school in the conference I feel that way about. frick Florida and their fans.
As for LSU fans who are arse holes. I apologize for those idiots. I can assure you, 99% of LSU fans will welcome you to their tailgate, feed you, make sure you have drink, and make sure you have a good time.

Seems these stories only seem to happen when teams come here favored and get their arse handed to them on the field.
This.

You'd think they could handle it considering UGA fans are notorious for being hostile assholes to visiting fans. Adults getting in strangers faces and barking at them, spitting on people, starting fights
Yeah...I didn't want to mention that, but many of the UGA fans in the EU weren't exactly easy to deal with. Many felt the need to stand the whole game (or at least until they started getting their asses kicked on the field) even though they were in the upper deck and no one was standing in front of them. Tons of unsolicited smack talk, etc. Essentially the kind of behavior you reserve for your OWN stadium, or at least only if you're part of some large group like at the top of the EU or in the SEZ. We were getting this from groups of 3 and 4 who were interspersed between LSU fans. That's begging for unwelcome encounters...and yet I saw none anywhere during the game when it was kind of deserved.
I mentioned this on The Rant the other day, but I brought my 11 year old and he's notorious for feeling the need to engage with idiots when they piss him off. We had an especially aggravating prick behind us and I had to tell my kid very early, "Hey...keep you mouth shut and your eyes on the field. I don;t know how the game's going to go, but if we pull this out, these same morons who are acting like this now will go from being all jacked up, to quiet, to whiny to leaving early. It's worth the wait...trust me."

In what way? Because we don't automatically #believeallopposingfans?
It might be because I've seen this almost verbatim account every few years going back to the very early stages of internet message boards...the same passive aggressive desire to alert the LSU brass while really just attempting to throw LSU fans under a bus...a bus we're probably trying to set on fire.
At some point, in a world now FILLED with recording devices, it might be time to actually ask for evidence of this before bending over and apologizing for something most of us who have been attending games for decades have literally never seen.

This crap didn't happen. At least not to that degree. That bullshite might as well be a form letter for the leghumpers. We see 4 or 5 different versions of this drivel every other year at Auburn. Ignore this dogcrap (pun intended).

After a great game by LSU, we left the stadium, only to be met by people intentionally blocking our way, shouting obscenities and vulgarities at myself and my wife. We also witnessed this happen to families with small children. Most of these obscenities were preceded by what is apparently the state word of Louisiana — the F word. All the while, stadium personnel just stood by smiling. During our walk to our vehicle, this behavior continued, and not one person on our 10-minute walk ever said anything to the offenders.
I would bet this is 100% bullshite.

Well UGA doesn't come back to Baton Rouge until 2030 so they have awhile to get over it.

I went to a game as a florida fan a few years ago. I live 3.5 to 4 hours away. Never had a problem. Tailgating people ribbed us a little. And some frat guy was running around with some jorts on a broom handle putting them in front of people making jokes. I had a good time and would go back.

I would rather have obscenities yelled than pass out drunk and be tea bagged

Tiger stadium was pretty rough when we went. Def the most aggressive fan base I've seen in the SEC. Though there were a lot of pretty nice people too. Is what it is. I suspect the really big assholes never attended LSU and are just Cajun low life's.
