Damn! I knew the win was big, but also eliminated the return visit of a couple of redneck Georgia fans? Even better than I thought!

I read that article. I was on campus that day from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm and I didn't see anything that bad. Some of the worst displays of sportsmanship I saw were from some of the loudmouthed and obnoxious Georgia fans around us who didn't shut up until midway through the 4th quarter. Most Georgia fans I encountered were having a great time and really appreciated the hospitality. We were feeding them constantly at our tailgate.

Definitely

You see the occasional trash talker that can obviously go a bit too far when drunk...or even not drunk. But I've never remotely seen that play out over and over and over during the course of a 10 minute walk. Nowhere near that.

blah, blah..

Went to the Alabama game last year and those fricks were ruthless. Every jackass had something to say to us and 99% of it was not kid friendly and it was even worse after the game. Didn't hurt my feelings though. I expected it so all good.

LSU football games have always been trashy affairs.

You'd think they could handle it considering UGA fans are notorious for being hostile a-holes to visiting fans. Adults getting in strangers faces and barking at them, spitting on people, starting fights

I've been to 2 SEC championship games against UGA and a few G Tech v UGA games in ATL. UGA fans are easily the douchiest frick tard fans in the SEC.

people are taking 1 fricktard's article and thinking our whole fanbase thinks that way. For every 1 guy like the pantywaist in the OP there are probably 5K others that had a wonderful experience.

Been going over there since 1979 as a fan of a the opposition. Focusing on experiences outside the stadium have been mostly okay experiences.

Tiger-baited countless times such as 2000. I laughed and yelled "UAB!" and he laughed too. Lsu got the last laugh that night.

My brother and I walking to the stadium through the tailgate area when a guy stood up and bowed up to us. WTF? Weird. (Probably Terd...)

On a walk back to the car following a loss one year, I heard a guy key his mike from his truck as he waited in the line of traffic. I thought "here we go". He wished us a broken down automobile on the way out of town and laughed at one guy in our group in a walking boot. I had to laugh.

One little boy about 7 was tiger-baiting us on a walk from the stadium. It was nothing but good-natured ribbing, but his Dad grabbed him and said "we don't treat visitors poorly". Class act.

Sorry, but I don't believe this happened the way he described it. He's obviously butt hurt because UGA got their asses handed to them when they thought all they had to do was show up and we'd roll over. I definitely detected quite a bit of entitlement in the Dawg fans I interacted with, even the ones who were friendly. They didn't expect to lose and things didn't turn out the way they planned.

Do I believe that he might've been heckled by some drunk college kids? That's definitely a possibility. However, I don't believe that a group of Tiger fans corralled he and his wife and cursed at them. If he was like most of the other UGA fans in the stadium, he was probably barking obnoxiously. When I went to the LSU/UGA game in Athens in 2013, my group got barked at and otherwise harassed a bit. It never crossed my mind to write a letter to their newspaper and complain.

Oh boohoo.

"I took my kid to a football game and there was cursing"

who gives a shite. My kid had a full can of beer thrown at him at an LSU game one time. And as I've posted on here before, other LSU fans tore that idiot a new a-hole before I could even say anything.

Maybe you should stick to taking your son to his dance recitals.

I've eaten several meals at LSU tailgates. Met some wondeful people down there to, some that we've hosted up here as well. To the point where the game is actually secondary.

Hell one LSU fan I met down there at a cookout in fact, we've became such good friends with him and his wife that we've traveled together.

I call BS on the atmosphere outside the stadium. Majority were students singing and as we left the stadium we ran until a group of Georgia fans and they complimented how well LSU played and we complimented their fan base.

The worst road game experience I have ever had was in Athens at UGA in 2004. We had beat them the year before in the SEC Championship game and their fans were out for blood that day. We were driving through campus looking for parking spots with LSU flags in the window. At a stop light some baw came into traffic and tried ripping the flag off. We had drinks thrown at the car as we drove past tailgaters, we were yelled at, and I heard plenty of profanity. They kicked our arse and we took our beating and came home. I didn't write a letter to the Athens newspaper or the Chancellor. I thought the UGA fans on Saturday were pretty cool and I saw a LOT of them at LSU tailgates and interacting with the LSU fans having lots of fun. We also walked back to our car behind a group of UGA college boys and heard not one word from LSU fans the whole way. So, this person seems to be overly sensitive.
