Don't let facts get in the way..

Seriously, here is a day by day timeline of the trial.
LINK

You can tell the posters who only watches or reads media with political agendas (Foxnews, CNN, etc). They like to make people think the other side is controlling things and they are the reason for this or that, but when it comes to news stories, reporting.. In today's world you just have to use some common sense.

This was from Day 6.

quote:

The jury listened to taped police interviews with Mr. Zimmerman, who sounded calm and earnest the night of the incident as an officer dug into his account. “Something was off” about Mr. Martin, he told the police. He said he had begun following Mr. Martin in his car and then on foot.

After Mr. Zimmerman got out of his car, he said, Mr. Martin soon emerged from the darkness and punched him, knocking him to the ground, suffocating him and then repeatedly bashing his head onto concrete while menacing him with the words “You’re going to die tonight.” Mr. Zimmerman said he had cried for help dozens of times and then had fatally shot Mr. Martin after it seemed the teenager was reaching for Mr. Zimmerman’s gun.

Officer Doris Singleton, above right, testified that Mr. Zimmerman expressed dismay after first learning that Mr. Martin had died. She was asked by the defense if he showed ill will, hatred or spite, words that are important because a second-degree murder conviction requires the demonstration of a depraved mind. “If he had it, he didn’t show it," she responded.

So Zimmerman said something was "off" about Martin. He was able to notice this near dusk while it was raining. So because he thought something was "off" he decided to follow him.

Zimmerman did call the police and he was told to stay in his car and wait for the police, instead he got out and all of a sudden, out of the darkness Martin comes out and punches him, knocks him down and then Martin jumps on him and starts suffocating him and smashing his head into the cement and told him "you are going to die tonight". Despite the fact he was being suffocated, he was able to yell out for help a dozen times.

Then, it wasn't until he noticed Martin reaching for Zimmerman's gun that Zimmerman was able to get his gun before Martin got to it. And then was able to get a shot off that killed Martin.

Only two people know exactly what happened during that time and one of them died before being able to tell his side of the story.

Does anyone believe what Zimmerman said was 100% accurate? Zimmerman had called 911 50 times between 2004 - 2012. Thats an average of just over 6 times a year.

At the time this happened Zimmerman worked for a mortgage audit firm which he got after working for a car dealership. He was enrolled at Seminole State College working on one credit he needed to get his associates degree in Criminal Justice. This is just my opinion because obviously I can't prove it, but Zimmerman was well aware of the law and in my opinion, I think his story was somewhat bias and was shaped to better fit a self-defense case.

FTFY. Even a justified shooting is very likely going to result in you going broke defending yourself in civil court and possibly still getting a judgment against you.

You get to keep breathing, though.

I got news for ya, bud.....theft, starting fights, punching a bus driver (pretty sure that one is made up), none of that warrants the death penalty. Beating up a guy who was following you in your own neighborhood is not reason for being shot by a vigilante.

Pathetic. You can shoot someone in self defense whther you like it or not. You would probably try to excuse a black guy getting shot after they fired rounds at someone.

Isn't Zimmerman some sorta brown guy?

According to Wikipedia his mother was born in Peru and has some African decent. His dad is German American. Zimmerman's drivers license states that he is Hispanic. Not sure how that works.

He did have a reason, He was following him as a member of the Neighborhood Watch. As cheesy as that sounds it’s not like he was just some dude following someone with no basis.

bullshite, you are a complete mental midget if you truly think that. Doctoring audio of the 911 call? Misrepresenting the timeline of events even when forensic evidence contradicted the media talking points? You have no idea.

He was suspended from school for attacking a bus driver and you think it was made up? Laughably ignorant you are but typical of those that bought into the media's narrative over the facts presented during the trial.

quote:

Lots of people are pieces of shite.

Yes, and Trayvon paid the ultimate price for being one. He was on his father's home's door step and could have just walked inside but he chose to go after GZ. He attacked somebody that, at that moment, was no longer a threat, a forcible felony, and that is all that is needed to justify lethal force. Get yourself educated on the law, you need a lot of help.

Right off the bat you got it wrong. GZ was already out of his vehicle while talking to the dispatcher (clearly heard in the audio) and was not advised to go back to his vehicle until he had lost sight of TM. He was on his was back to his vehicle (following the dispatcher's advice) when he was jumped by TM. Proper context supported by the evidence in the trial, instead you just parrot the same ignorant talking points that every other low-IQ type that comments on this case.

Facts for the perpetually ignorant and outraged.
