The great thing about the American market is capitalism provides for very quick adaptation. If he can't figure out how to make money, many others will.

didn’t watch the video to see what he said, but it’s not that simple. Most larger GCs (which is where you get your best pricing) don’t self perform any of the architectural or structural trades (which is where your immigrant labor performs). They subcontract it for lower cost, less time and higher quality than they could do it themselves. So the company actually hiring illegal labor (if they do at all) is the architectural or structural trade subcontractor.
all of this is a classic example of being careful what you wish for. You may not be building a $10MM new headquarters building but the company that is building it is also providing jobs, and if that cost of construction increases relative to cost of self performing labor, and if the wheels of commerce in and around that activity slow down any further than they already have, you will feel the effects personally (eventually).
like most every complex problem, the causes are equally complex and the solutions thus can never be as simple as one would opine on a message board
Goodness I would love to just say "well unfortunately the company I hired was illegally doing xyz" and not have my arse handed to me with lawsuits.

Don't want no crooked house built by illegals

Chances are OSHA is currently writing a standard for ICE worker safety on construction sites, LUDO, lock up drag out.

No sympathy for you Mr Cowan. There are a lot of contractors doing it the right way and they are doing okay.
The Home Depot parking lot with shady characters should not be used as your employment office.

There’s a new type of social influencer rising of men who go to new construction homes and show how bad the quality of work is

I do recall one where he went into the crawlspace and it was the most beautiful job he had ever seen. Said he would live in there.

So are others going to line up to do the work? Good they are getting illegals out, but are the ones working the high hanging fruit? You don’t see Americans lining up to do physical work.

It seems employers the last 20 years lost the concept that people will do anything to keep a good paying job

Simple, hire people that are here legally.
So I agree with this 100%
In theory
But most people here legally that could do the work are either:
1. Working as an operator in a plant
2. Are lazy retards

What do we sound like? I said no issues but wondering who will do the work.

Glad I was able to just get my roof replaced.
Not a single one of them workers was legal.

This is the way. I would assume the government needs to cut some of the red tape and make this a little easier to do.
And part two is to cut off money to dead beats who should be out working

Those guys get paid fairly well, just not union scale wages. They get a livable wage.
