You are showing disrespect for her, quite clearly. You posting about her here makes it undeniable. You better start respecting her, for your kids sake.

Given the state of everything going on, your wife seems to care more about your mothers health more than you do. And its low key selfish to just leave her home alone and take the kids.

Praying that your mom doesn't become ill or infected but poor judgement choice made

My wife took kids out of state to in-laws one easter while I stayed back and visited my family. Paid for it for a long time, but ultimately glad I stood my ground.

Incorrect. When you get married make damn sure y’all are like minded. I didn’t find out this nugget of info until after I was divorced. My current wife and I are completely on the same page on everything from politics to raising children and it works perfectly.

My wife is easy going for the most part. Has her days but she treats me well and respects my wishes on most things. Her dad is in the hospital with Covid so we will go to my parents for thanksgiving.

given her age, she probably values seeing her family.

In some areas of a home, it is best for there to be a "head of the household" role.

Tell her she is showing how much she dislikes/disrespects you and your family by being selfish and backing out on thanksgiving and ruining the fun because some stupid Govt bureaucrat told her she should stay home

270th upvote.

Though not particularly relevant to the OP, always remember, you are not marrying a woman. You are marrying her family as well (vice versa in this instance).

Fair enough, but I am 100% down for a prenuptial agreement and also don't want kids so we are pretty safe.

If I was a dude and had a great income, I probably wouldn't want to marry just anyone either. Definitely see your point

Ok. Well, that answers a question I wanted to ask but didn't want to get into your business.

I can respect that.

What’s the purpose of posting on an echo chamber though?

Why won’t y’all do like most people and take a test before visiting elderly family members?

As a healthy person in their 30’s who tested positive 10 days ago and been living at my downtown condo away from my family - I wish this shite on no one. If I gave it to my parents or any other older person in my family And something would happen I would never be able to live that shite down.

You're healthy yet had a bad case?

Interdasting.

We had 20 of us catch it. Only 1 person had anything remotely close to the flu.
