No big deal. If it goes over $9.99/gallon they have to sell it by the 1/2 gallon because the pumps do not have the extra decimal place.
So the sign will read $5.99... per half gallon.

I think that the state of California could somehow buy gas for $1.80, sell it for $12 and still not make money. They are just that economically stupid.

They could try that metric crap again and sell it by the Liter instead.
Gas prices could be divided by 3.79, but the eggheads in Sacramento might want to institute the per gallon tax as a per liter tax to rake in 3 times more money unless California taxes gas at a percentage instead of by the gallon.
My favorite pricing by gallon. came at Rouses a few weeks ago. I saw a half gallon of Milk was 2.49 but a gallon was 5.19.
I guess they were going after the people that have to buy a full gallon that WIC may require, or they are bad at math.

But....liberals love to vote for these far left policies. Then when those policies result in high taxes, high cost of living, high crime, and decreased quality of government services....they flee to red states with job opportunities, low taxes, lower cost of living, and safer communities.
But they bring their old voting habits with them and then you start seeing formerly very red areas become more and more purple / blue as more liberals move in after fleeing the places they ruined before. Like fricking locusts.
