I went to his concert at ND stadium where he kicked off this stadium tour and it was an amazing experience. I can't imagine what it will be like in Tiger Stadium.

Can someone explain to me how Garth is a flaming liberal? Is it because he played at Biden’s inauguration? That’s all it takes to make one a “flaming liberal”?

I can’t find a single political quote by Garth

All I can find is him “praying for Obama article from 2008, a praying for Trump article in 2016, and a praying for Biden article in 2020

Also, he called himself a Republican at Biden’s inauguration for the record. Garth is a sappy dramatic man, but he has never really made a statement at all about politics. The guy is like a puppy who loves everyone. It’s hilarious to listen to him talk. Everything is some profound feel love message

Can you imagine hanging out with Waylon and Keith Richards back-in-the-day?

I like his music but he killed traditional country music.

I get the sentiment but much too young to feel this damn old is up there on my all time country music songs.

Pretty much anything on his debut album no fences or ropin the wind would have trouble getting air time today.

It’s really his shows that ushered in the pop/rock country and not so much the music IMO. Running all over the stage pyrotechnics etc. They are a blast but it paved the way for others who couldn’t make it in pop or rock to take a country twang and get air time.

Whereas George strait would sell out a stadium, stand in front of a mic for 2 hours singing and walk off stage.

I'd rather see Sturgil Simpson at Tigers stadium.

He legit doesn’t want you to listen to his music if you think differently. Kinda hard to tune his opinions out

To some degree, but a lot of his songs feel like "classic country" compared to artists from today (Thomas Rhett, FGL, etc).

The shows themselves? I absolutely agree he changed the game there.

Well, my post was about people who cared about his politics so it really doesn’t apply to people like you.

It's the equivalent of Metallica playing a concert at Lane Stadium in front of a Hokie crowd.
