You only need 10% up front and the bondsman puts up a surety bond with the court for the rest. They couldnt raise 100k.

Well of course they did. The witness statements don’t support that though. He better hope something supports that in the trial.

do you remember what the witnesses said happened to Joe McKnight?

The bullshite ones quickly thrown out after a day? Or the ones brought up in trial that led to a conviction?

Terrible comparison. Nothing has even hinted at the witness accounts being bullshite.

the point is, witnesses don't always tell the truth.

I have no idea what any witness has said about this, as i don't really care what happens and haven't paid any attention to this situation. just stating that i don't believe what people say very easily. In today's world, if it wasn't caught on camera, and it's strictly a he said she said, then the facts of the crime are what should decide the outcome, not the voice of anyone.

I think it's more likely that they wouldn't. They probably told him, you're on your own, sparky.

We have an at risk point system here.

It certainly looks that way, like this isnt the first time they have been asked to bail him.

When you have several independent witnesses with the same story, it’s not too hard to determine the truth.

Who said otherwise? The facts of the crime are that he beat a man to death.

Either he thinks he can beat the rap, or he's just insanely stupid for not skipping town. Well, he's insanely stupid for not skipping town anyway, seeing who his jurors will be. Unless they know something everyone else doesn't......

Still, he couldn't put up a property bond worth $1MM? That's hard up

Africa would be incredibly difficult to get to. Can't get on an international flight. Too risky. Disappearing into Mexico en route to South America is the play

Doesn't seem like it would be that easy to get out of the country with the murder charges.

Pretty much the sentiment of a lot of dudes. Which is why cops get killed. Which in turn makes cops trigger happy and uneasy.

It's pretty damn easy to get in. You could walk, drive, boat, or as a longshot, fly.

Just think of how many people cross the border each day, both legally and illegally. They're not stopping anyone
