Are the following facts true?

1: Ward was passed out drunk on a sidewalk
2: He woke up to someone going through his pockets
3: He beat the shite out of the person going through his pockets
4: The beating victim died at the hospital 6 days later
5: Warrants were issued
6: Defendent turned himself in
7: witnesses corroborrate all this.

I think number 2 was not corroborated by witnesses.

This was a recent claim that came out during his defense

What would this have changed had this been proven true?

he didn't just beat the shite out of him... allegedly he kicked him in the head AFTER he beat his arse.

Well, no apparent political stroke with the judge.

Time will tell if he has any stroke with this or a future administration. A favorable facility placement and a commutation knocking a decade off that sentence would go a long way to salvaging part of his life.

I can’t imagine what’s going through Ward’s mind right now, knowing the horror that awaits him.

Possibly a .45 ACP round if he can get his hands on one before they haul his arse off.

1. Uncorroborated
2. Only he has claimed this I believe.
3. He beat the shite out of him but see 2. The kick in the head after was not a wise choice no matter what
4-6. Yes
7. Essentially the opposite I believe.

I think he’s been in jail since the guilty verdict. The quick out window has passed for him

Yeah, you don’t get to go home when found guilty then come back for sentencing. That wouldn’t be the best system

Garrett is gonna get poked in the poke. It's just a matter of whether daddy's money is enough to keep his o-ring somewhat intact
This should not be a defacto part of one's punishment.

Did the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003 achieve anything?

His booking photo makes him look about 6'3 or 6'4 with shoes on. Shave his head, grow a beard, and don't act like a pussy, and he'll be a-okay

So what happens after sentencing? I always wondered do they take you straight to the jail you serve the sentence or like a holding cell for awhile.
I wonder how long it takes to adjust mentally to something that that. God I’d be terrified

Did he get the chance to read a letter to the victim’s family?
