Dixie beer is trash anyway

It's actually not that bad to me. Underrated kind of like Lone Star. Nice, good fishing cold beer. No fuss no muss.

Alerting the local BLM charter now. They will take care of this.

It has always been a crappy beer. There is nothing, outside of paying me to drink it, that will get me to drink this swill.

They ought to name it the Lower 9 Swill.

millions to buy and revive a brand wasted.

Her CPA needs to step in and tell her to just close the brewery and take the loss on her taxes. Trying to bring that shite beer back as anything else is a waste of time.

I might need to buy the Dixie Beer trademark once she finalizes this.

Horrible move.

Ppl drink Dixie because of the name/brand.

They are apparently doing some good stuff at the brewery, beers you can only get at the brewery.

Terrible decision though.

"Dixie" is derived from Jeremiah Dixon, a surveyor of the Mason–Dixon line, which defined the border between Maryland and Pennsylvania, separating free and slave states subsequent to the Missouri Compromise.

The word "Dixie" refers to currency issued first by the Citizens State Bank in the French Quarter of New Orleans and then by other banks in Louisiana. These banks issued ten-dollar notes labeled Dix on the reverse side, French for "ten". The notes were known as "Dixies" by Southerners, and the area around New Orleans and the French-speaking parts of Louisiana came to be known as "Dixieland". Eventually, usage of the term broadened to refer to the Southern states in general.
