At my current level I can honestly say between B and C. Either a 12k to a 10 miler.

A-C 100% positive I could complete this today. Half marathon I could do in under two hours.

D I'm 90% sure I could complete this today. It won't be fast but I'd aim around five hours.

Don't know about an Ultra.

5k without walking really isn’t some huge feat.

First off, walking isn't a sign of not being able to make a distance. For long races always walked aid stations. I've run a sub 2 hr half while walking every few miles to gaurantee I got water, etc.

I know for a fact I can run a 5k and haven't trained in over 2 years. I did an Ironman about 3.5 years ago. The mental part of grading through is just as big as the fitness and a 5k still feels like a short run even if the body hates it.

The OT is always full of athletes

Most people here are overly estimating their abilities or are just flat out lying…The average male over 30 (And I’m being generous with 30) who didn’t regularly run couldn’t run a mile without walking.

I can confidently say it's

quote:

C. Half marathon

Since I ran one last weekend.

It's not UNreasonable to say I could run a full marathon tomorrow, though I've never run that far. The not allowed to walk part might get me at the end of the run.

Don’t really know how to answer. I run in the mornings every day. Just got finished with a 5 mile run.

I would call that training. But I am not trying to win anything - just trying to avoid being fatter.

To be fair, a bunch of the dudes saying C or D are regulars in the running thread so I believe them. A bunch of the 100m dash answers are probably not exaggerating either

If you see me running you better run to because something is chasing me.

I walk 4 to 6 miles a day regularly at work.

D easily. I run a good bit though (30 or more miles a week).

Our run group meets every Sat. It’s open to the public and we see new people all the time. It’s a LONG run group, but we have people show up about once a month that don’t fully appreciate what that means. I’ve seen people throwing up, walking back to their car, or simply falling out and calling someone to get them.

The vast majority of this country is grossly overweight and out of shape.

I could do 5k but no further.

However I'm signing up for a 10k in a couple of weeks so should probably get my arse out on the road and train, my main hope is adrenaline of it being a "race" and the fact that it starts and finishes in a zoo should make it a bit easier as I'll be looking round at the animals

I get about 30 seconds of sprinting on the treadmill before my knees start requesting me to hop on the elliptical.

However far I can run in 90 seconds. At least that's about as far on the treadmill before walking again
