Nancy Pelosi will announce on 60 Minutes an initiative to fund the “Rebranding” of the White House, which initiative will include changing the color of the Presidential quarters going forward.

The building is white because it's faced with white stone. And it's not particularly well consolidated stone so if they try to paint it, the paint will probably slough off.
