How often do y'all have to deal with meetings in the afternoon on a Friday when everyone has mentally checked out on Thursday evening?

I avoid them as much as possible. If a GC tries to schedule a Friday afternoon meeting, my normal response is "I have a conflict. I can do it Tuesday morning."

We usually have these on Wednesdays but since we have a bunch of people in our office that have no idea what they're doing, I have one this afternoon too.

Which is bull shite I'm pretty much always checked out by Wednesday or Thursday.

Usually all of my Friday meetings are in the morning. If theres one in mid-late afternoon, someone clearly messed something up and it's going to be a long Friday

The boss schedules one everyday for 4:15. It's mostly an attendance meeting to see who is still there, no one ever has anything to say nor does he.

Really sucks when he leaves early and doesn't tell anyone, so everyone has to hang out for a meeting that he doesn't show up at. Pulls this most often on Friday's.

Now I do a check on the parking lot a couple times a day to see if is car is still here.

They’re an unfortunate even that happens every once in a while. “Busy season” is twice a year and really only have them during those time. Roughly 3 months each.

Almost never.
We are off every other Friday and it’s even rare for a morning meeting on the work Fridays as people have different off Fridays. That’s kind of a day to catch up on emails and think through the work from the past week.

Right now I’m sitting in my office and can hear music from French Quarter Fest. Nobody would have been dumb enough to have tried to schedule a meeting this afternoon. LOL

Occasionally. Nobody is going to remember anything discussed during it either

This. If I have a Friday afternoon meeting it means it couldn’t wait until Monday.

Have 2 this afternoon. Not unusual to have one on weekends. All MS Teams though. Ours is an opportunistic business with hard deadlines. You snooze, you lose.

We actually have a company-wide policy of no meetings after 2 on Fridays unless it’s an emergency.
