One of my friends lost her best friend earlier this year to cancer. She was 30 years old.

That sucks. Prayers to you and your loved ones.
My wife battled and won against cancer twice before the age of 40.
We've lost two male friends at way to young in the last year. Just awesome guys with young kids.

Condolences to you and your family for your loss.
Yes, cancer does suck and when the cure is found, the world will be a much better place for all.

That’s tough. Prayers sent my friend. Lost my SO 4 years this January. She was 34. Lost a buddy of mine last week to cancer. He was 33. I myself am a cancer survivor. Hang in there.

stay up, man. Don't let the (justifiable) anger consume you

Can we all avoid the religious arguments here? I know you didn't start it airfernando, but let's just leave it alone and show some respect for OP

I was reading an article the other day that basically said we'll never ever cure cancer most likely as it's been around for a very very long time, BUT the researcher in the article made the comment that it's very possible we can limit cancer to a point where it kills less and less people and he believes within the next 50 years cancer won't be the same lethal disease it is today. He actually said 10-14 years in the article, but that seems really soon.
