Thoughts and prayers for you and your family. I lost my best friend and love of my life to that dreaded disease in 2009...she was only 46 years old.

Took in my stepson's best friend for about 6 months or so this past year until his family could make arrangements to take him in. His dad passed away in January of cancer and that poor child was right there the night he went. He was 38 and we just celebrated this kids 15th bday last month. I truly believe we were the reason that the kid didn't fall completely off the deep end and fail the 8th grade...we managed to get him through and he's doing a lot better now...though he still struggles...
