There could also be the opposite effect. My son in college has a girlfriend that has latched onto him and said multiple times how nice it is his family doesn’t do “divorced family Christmas”. Oddly enough we seem very normal to her and she’s gravitated to that.
She also only had one other boyfriend but it was a 2 year HS thing so she seems to lean into long term commitments. Of course we’re talking a college aged girl though so who knows what’ll happen.

Any “woman?” Yes, absolutely. Don’t want anything to do with. But a tween or young teenage girl? Whose mom is too busy on her own phone being influenced herself to actually parent? Hard to hold that against them. What’s she supposed to do?
Young men just have to show up in a way that dispels everything she’s been taught. At the end of the day, women act on their feelings in any given moment, no matter how much “knowledge” is in their head. I’ve learned a lot about current dating dynamics and culture, not for myself, but my kids. And it’s terrifying.
But I’m glad I have both a boy and a girl because it helps me to see both sides and prevents me from demonizing young women. If their moms are modeling terrible real life and online behavior and and they only see their dads every other weekend, it’s almost impossible to avoid these current pitfalls.!
