Should i be preparing to pull my camper and toys out of grand isle? What kind of surge we looking at for SELA? I know it’s early. Just trying to prep a game plan if needed.
I would. The island floods rather easily especially on the west end. There was water on the island from the tide and heavy rains near the new Entergy substation last week.
LA 1 is also the wild card as that can flood too just below Golden Meadow and between Fourchon and Chenier Camanda.

Trust the answers from people who know the geography better.
As Tarps obviously does vs myself for that area.

I mean the island flooded at some part from 2 days of rain this week. So yes.

This just has a New Orleans type feel to it with a Cat 2 to 3.

Not risking it I guess?
Its just too much trouble to evacuate for a Cat 1 if that's what it stays at

It’s starting to get breezy in BR.

I want to say he has kids?? Could be a deciding factor.

Good point.
ETA: I never blame anyone for evacuating. For me personally its a hassle.

Yeah, I’m thinking the same as you… I’ll go to my parents in the bluff if I just feel like being a little more north.
Edit: if diamond has kids, different story.

Will be interesting to see what this does to the hummingbird migration.

Yea I could go to my mom's in Ragley or grandmother's in DeRidder if I have to. I am not motivated to go way out of town to Houston or something

Damn sure didn’t have this on any previous bingo cards.

Same. My house did very well for Laura and the one tree that scared me fell the best way it could.
Evacuating fricking sucks.

Well that seems to be a smaller storm at least from the runs earlier.

From rds a couple of pages back:
The system will interact with a trough moving out of Texas, and the heaviest rainfall will occur along and west of the path. Those on the eastern side might not see much to be concerned about.
