Don’t know how we got that Lucky on the north shore. The eye wall that wreaked havoc on the south shore just didn’t have much punch left after it got across the lake I guess.

Later I head what sounded like dripping on my insulated cover to attic fan vent, but don’t know if it was rain through roof or the whirly bird in the wind.

Had a couple spots in the attic that must not be sealed right by the vents and by the whirly bird

Since you work for an ISP… anyone else having issues with att fiber this morning?

I fully understand this is a very minor issue compared to what some are clearing up today. Just trying to figure out if this is a widespread issue or something just affecting me i need to report to att…

We do have internet, but its timing out or just not connecting to some other servers. Such as outlook mail servers, vpns, etc. i can pull up the weather maps…

Hey man- how is Belle River by you/me looking this morning? Trying to decide if I need to drive down from Saint Amant to check my camp.
Not too bad on the drive out. We lost a little siding and such, same with camps around us. But I didn’t see anything Catastrophic

discovered my new fridge trips the breaker on my generator

Found out same thing in Ida, new fridge inside trips generator breaker every time compressor kicks on. Had to move everything out to the old Kenmore in the garage which ran fine on generator power.

Biggest issue with generators people don’t think about is they never run them regularly. You don’t think about them until you need them then all the sudden battery is dead, fuel filter is clogged with biodiesel algae, or dirt daubers got into the actual generator and it’ll run but won’t generate power.

I’m referring to industrial generators obviously not the smaller ones at peoples homes. You need to crank and let them run under load once a month for an hour or two minimum. Once a week is best, once a month is sufficient

For a city it’s unacceptable. You can purchase automatic transfer switches and set the generator on a timer to crank and run for an hour at a specific time every week. You can hook up an onboard battery charger to maintain the battery 24/7. There’s zero excuse for those generators not to work in New Orleans. You don’t even need a person there to crank them if power goes out if you set it up properly

Jeff Landry and Cynthia have both came on the radio this morning before 8am. Nobody from Nola other than two city council members have came on so far.

Yeah, my vpn for work is displaying some janky messages even though we “have a internet connection”. Probably some internal routes in att’s network is out.

Lost power in unincorporated north Covington at about 7:30pm. We feed off of River Road/ Lee Road so not surprising. Lost Spectrum Internet some time after 10pm when I wasn’t to bed. Slept through all the high winds

I’m right up the road from you. Same here. Cleco/Spectrum out. Couple small trees down around the property but other than that, not much to clean up. Happy about that. We got a ton of rain. Probably more than 10”.
